We have two departure times: 8:00 am and 1:00 pm. We will pick you up from your hotel to begin our city tour. We will start with the Cusco Cathedral and the Qoricancha Temple. About 11 km (7 mi) away, we will visit four archaeological sites: Qenqo, Sacsayhuaman, Puka Pukara, and finally Tambomachay. Afterward, we will return to the city and drop you off at your hotel around 1:00 pm if you took the morning tour, or around 6:00 pm if you took the afternoon tour.

What will you visit on this tour?

Cusco Cathedral

Seat of the Archdiocese of Cusco, it is the most important religious monument in the city. Built in 1539 on the foundations of the palace of the Inca Viracocha, it is filled with perfectly preserved colonial art.

Qoricancha

Golden Temple, is the main Inca Temple of the empire, it was built between 1441 and 1493, already in the colonial era the Dominicans built a temple on its foundations.

Saqsayhuaman

Located 4 km (2.5 mi) from the historic center, Sacsayhuaman was built during the reign of the Inca Pachacutec in the 15th century. It is an impressive stone fortress, whose main function was to house the Inca and his court

Qenqo

Main Inca sanctuary, it is presumed to have been an amphitheater due to its semicircular shape, characterized by its labyrinths and zigzag channels.

Tambomachay

Located 11 km away is Tambomachay, built as a place of rest and control due to its strategic location, consisting of a series of ingeniously constructed aqueducts to irrigate its orchards.

Puka Pukara

An Inca military construction, this fortress is composed of large walls, terraces and staircases and was part of the defensive complex of Cusco in particular and the Inca Empire in general.
