Only 50 miles (80 km) from Cusco lies Machu Picchu, the legendary Inca citadel seamlessly integrated into its surrounding ecosystem. Recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World, this masterpiece of architecture and engineering remains remarkably well preserved, having escaped the reach of the Spanish conquistadors.
Our one day tour invites you to experience this unforgettable site with ease. At “Machu Picchu View” we take care of every detail: round‑trip transfers from your hotel in Cusco, entrance tickets, and the guidance of a professional local expert who will bring the history and mysteries of Machu Picchu to life.

The journey begins the day before your visit. We’ll meet you at your hotel to provide all the information and instructions you’ll need for a smooth trip to this Inca wonder.

Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting to accompany you on the short bus ride (20 minutes) up to the archaeological site.
You’ll then enjoy a guided exploration of Machu Picchu lasting about three hours, uncovering the history, architecture, and mysteries of this extraordinary sanctuary.
After your visit, you’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have time for lunch and to stroll through the town. Around 4:00 p.m., you’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our team will be waiting to transfer you by bus to your hotel in Cusco, arriving around 9:00 p.m.

What will you visit on this tour?

Aguas Calientes: Gateway to Machu Picchu

Known as “Machu Picchu Pueblo,” Aguas Calientes sits on the banks of the Urubamba River and is the closest town to the Inca sanctuary. It is the mandatory stop for all visitors, offering a charming atmosphere filled with restaurants, hotels, souvenir shops, and the train station that connects travelers to Cusco. The town is also famous for its natural hot springs, located just a short walk from the center—perfect for relaxing after your visit to the citadel.

Machu Picchu: The Lost City of the Incas

Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and often called the “Lost City of the Incas,” Machu Picchu is one of the most breathtaking archaeological wonders on Earth.
Built around 1450 by Inca Emperor Pachacútec during the height of the Tahuantinsuyo Empire, this citadel rises between the peaks of Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain) and Machu Picchu (Old Mountain) in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Urubamba Province, Cusco. At its peak, the site housed between 300 and 1,000 inhabitants and served both as a sanctuary dedicated to the Sun God (Inti) and as a royal retreat for the Inca. Its urban and agricultural sectors, with terraces still intact today, were constructed from massive stone blocks fitted together with astonishing precision.
Beyond its architectural brilliance, Machu Picchu is also a haven of biodiversity. Thanks to its subtropical climate, the sanctuary is home to remarkable flora and fauna, including more than 377 species of butterflies and 425 varieties of orchids
