Liability Coverage
Machu Picchu View acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers such as airlines, bus operators, train companies, hotels, restaurants, and tour operators. Therefore, we do not assume responsibility for accidents, losses, damages, delays, or inconveniences resulting from strikes, wars, government actions, weather conditions, or other external factors. While the agency will make every reasonable effort to minimize the impact of such events, Machu Picchu View shall be released from liability once participants have been duly notified.

All foreign passengers are responsible for obtaining, at their own expense, the necessary documents and permits (passport, visa, vaccinations, etc.) required to participate in the itinerary. These documents must be carried during all excursions.

In accordance with Legislative Decree DL-919, foreign tourists or members of the Andean Community must present their original passport or Andean card, with a valid immigration stamp, at hotel check-in to be exempt from Peru’s General Sales Tax (IGV – 18%). Failure to comply will result in the tax being charged to the passenger.

Travel Insurance and Risks
Travelers should be aware that certain activities in Peru, such as adventure tourism, trekking, rafting, downhill cycling, and mountaineering, involve inherent risks. High-altitude locations above 2,000 meters (6,560 ft.) may pose health risks (e.g., hypertension, cardiac conditions). We strongly recommend a medical check-up prior to arrival and the acquisition of Travel Insurance or Medical Assistance Coverage for the duration of your stay. Machu Picchu View does not provide such insurance. For certain high-risk activities, proof of medical assistance insurance may be mandatory.

Reservation Payment, Modification, and Cancellation Policy
All prices are expressed in U.S. dollars (USD) and are subject to change until full payment is received and verified.

Prices are per person and include only the services specified in the reservation. Extras such as tips, laundry, airport taxes, excess baggage, or services not listed are excluded.

Published prices do not include the 18% IGV tax. If an invoice is required, this tax will be added.

Bank transfers from abroad may incur additional fees, which must be covered by the client.

Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. In certain cases, partial payments may be accepted (50% for standard packages, 70% for superior or luxury packages), with the balance due 45 days before service commencement for individuals (up to 6 passengers) and 61 days for groups (7 or more passengers).

Airline and train tickets are non-refundable. Train tickets cannot be modified, transferred, or canceled once issued. Some tours, such as the Inca Trail, are non-refundable due to full prepayment requirements.

Cancellations involving hotels and tours are subject to a 20% administrative fee if requested at least 45 days before the start date (individuals) or 61 days before (groups). No refunds will be issued after these deadlines.

Machu Picchu View reserves the right to cancel services without refund if the client engages in misconduct, including intoxication, drug use, racist or xenophobic behavior, or actions that compromise the safety or integrity of others.
